HomeBush Pastoral Farm
At Homebush Pastoral, we embrace a tradition of natural, holistic farming that dates back to 1952. Nestled on the scenic shores of Lake Corangamite and amidst the rocky rises of barrier country, our farm is dedicated to regenerative agricultural practices and biodynamics. Our self-replacing British breed herd thrives on a diet of mothers’ milk, grass, herbs, and shrubs, with no artificial fertilisers or feedlotting involved.
Our blue ribbon product, the milk vealers, epitomises our commitment to traditional farming methods, while our volcanic soil, enriched by sunshine, moisture, and natural biology, ensures nutrient-dense meat with exceptional flavour. We are transitioning to Demeter Australia biodynamics to further enhance our sustainable biological practices.
Experience the taste of our high-quality beef at our regenerative café @Excusemekaties, or visit us on Instagram @homebushpastoral to join our journey. We operate with no synthetic interventions, including vaccinations, and are joining into a decentralisation platform for a paddock-to-plate system. For three generations, we’ve been dedicated to farming these soils, crafting a legacy of quality and sustainability.
Home Bush Pastoral farm has been in the Kent family since 1952 and in more recent times has taken a new direction. A direction that focuses on holistic natural systems founded on biodynamic farming practices, growing grass on humus not artificial fertilizers, creating an incredible nutrient dense meat.
Whole halves and 10 kilo boxes of meat are available.
