Pennyroyal Cheese
Pennyroyal Cheese makes three hand made cheeses from milk sourced in the Otway Ranges.
A creamy Camembert is made with a combination of traditional and stabilising cultures to produce a softer cheese with mushroom notes enhanced over time by its bloomy rind.
Our Mountain Tomme is a semi hard cheese made in the washed curd style giving it a “sweeter” flavour. It is matured over four or six months and develops a natural rind during affinage. This cheese was awarded Champion Cheese at the 2024 Lara Food and Wine Festival. Both the Camembert and Mountain Tomme are made with an organic cows milk.
Our third cheese is an Halloumi, made with cows milk. It is a salty cooking cheese sold in 200g vacuum packs.
